CATCHING THE WAVE:
Remember when everyone was overloading ChatGPT by generating Studio Ghibli versions of any and every picture?
As an ardent Ghibli fan and traditional-first artist, I was quite uncomfortable with the ruthlessness of this FOMO-fuelled trend.
As was my friend Ananya from The Hairpin Co.
She sent me a voice note at 6PM with the idea.
By 4AM the same night, I was ready.

(This combination of tags is still so surreal to me.)
You can imagine how thrilled I was to see
THIS EMAIL IN MY INBOX
THEY WANTED ME TO DESIGN THE SOCIAL MEDIA POSTER FOR THE SAUDI ARABIAN GP?!! EXCUSE ME!!??!
The brief was to showcase the Jeddah track elements, drivers (if preferred) and Saudi Arabian elements in my style & interpretation.
These are just some of the rough layouts shared.
It's still unbelievable to me that I actually got to work with /the/ Red Bull Racing to create their official social poster for the Saudi Arabian GP - featuring the Jeddah Corniche circuit and some traditional elements in the style of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri.
Here's to more cool F1 work 😭💛🏎️
